wise heart and out of the blue

I was in such a zen mood when i finished "Wise heart". I guess all the crap i didn't feel during that time piled up and attacked me the following week. I also finished the "out of the blue" trades. I like them, I hope they go to nice homes. I also made my first dotees, of course i forgot to take a pic of the very first one I made for my daughter but the second and third ones are here. I am also working on birds but no pics yet. There is a ton of stuff i have started. I am waiting for the house to empty out so i can spread out and finish these projects. I am getting excited because I may actually be getting up the courage to open my etsy store. I have had the account for some time now but haven't used it. I'm starting to feel better about things so this may work. We'll see. Oh and here are some paper flowers i got the idea from laurenb at all the good blog names were taken. yes i know the link doesn't work. I'm learning hyperlinks this week. slooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwllllllllllyyyyyyyy!!

the long week

It has been an horrendously long week and i almost succumbed to the stress of it. but i made through, barely. so much has happened, where do i begin. i really can't, suffice it to say, IT WAS NOT CUTE!! I learned alot though. UPS broke Oli's nameplate. a bunch of the trades that i mailed off that same day were returned the following week. and many more horror stories regarding my new phone, my birthday and my new sewing machine to name a few. But my dog and I are still here and still smiling. tremulously but smiling nevertheless. i have a ton of pics, the last fairy slippers came in. two of the buttonfairies arrived, I'm in love with Jen C.s bird. my atc's came in, i really can't go nine days without posting this is dreadful. Okay i'll split the pics so you don't get confused. I also learned about hyperlinks so as soon as I get permission I will be linking to tons of other great sites that i absolutely adore. alright pic time! first ones are of the trades i made.

and here is oli's nameplate. you can tell i was in a hurry, then when i put it together i discovered the pic on the "i" was upside down. i didn't even have time to glaze it. but it looks better in person than it does in pics. Thank the Goddess!

i wanted a bird

i woke up in the middle of the night Thursday wanting a bird. i knew a bird was coming cus i traded "webbed shoes" for "fairy house sparrow". But she is coming from canada and i have no idea how long that takes. So i got up and made a bird. cute on one side, not as cute on the other but that took care of my bird craving for a while. also i have cut out a bunch of cloth birds. i only have one obligation this weekend and for all of next week so i will take care of business first and then i am free to play. so i will make some birds ( among other things).

And i totally forgot to mention, Oli's nameplate is complete and on it's way to Oli, Happy Birthday Oli!

And last but not least, 2 of the fairy slippers i traded for are here and Kelley has arrived!! Yes it's been a busy couple of days.

forgot about peep

peep is going too. and my daughter sent me a lil stuffed dog for my birthday which is Monday.

the girrls are leaving the nest and headed off to new homes. most of them are going overseas this time. i am happy for them and i wish i were going. i only have one more package to prepare but quite honestly i haven't the foggiest what is going on oli's nameplate. i've been busy but i haven't been feeling great so that just makes things diffcult. then gypsy was sick and scared me half to death. she's back to her old self now and i for one am grateful.

the brooch arrived!

The final piece from our last trade arrived today, it was a brooch from Tonia in HOLLAND!! Dag, allemaal, Dank u wel! God, i miss Holland. Tonia's handwriting on the card and the way she wrote the date, city then day,month, year. God i miss Holland. Anyway i love the brooch and she sent fabric, i love goodies. I am always going to send them no matter what cus i love goodies. Also Wendy from my Atc group was to trade for "I Spy". I will post "Kelley" the card i am trading for when she arrives. Wendy said she loves my work so she was happy i wanted to trade with her. It feels so good to hear a total stranger say they love your work. You can say it to yourself all day long and it never quite feels the way unsolicited praise from a total stranger with nothing to gain does. Yay. so far this group thing is not too shabby.

Happy Friday the 13th!

Well it's after midnight and technically its over but i hope everyone had a good one anyway. i usually do but today was blecch! I was really happy to get my face in a pillow at one point. Anywho, i have been very busy, i posted my first paperdolls into an album on my groups site. I downloaded my atc's on flickr and asked my atc group for feedback, they loved "b is for bird" which is my favorite and someone already wants to trade for "i spy", i knew she would leave home. any who its been a productive day. and i got the fairy shoes mailed off just fine. so other than me getting chased by a half naked stalker guy and forgetting to eat or drink anything before walking to do my errands, then coming home and nearly fainting from heat exertion, yeah it was a pretty good Friday the 13th. Our confinement will be even worse for the next 7 days, even more people are coming and these are the touchy feely chatty type. I need a vacation, so does my dog. these pics are of the packages i sent, oh and the ones i received. i forgot to say that yesterday my paper towel jewelry came. i am so happy, the blue one came from the UK, my future home. one day when i win the lottery i'm moving to the UK to write little childrens books like Beatrix Potter. lesigh

unbelievable!

i blinked and it was Thursday. Wow! well in my defense i must say i've been hella busy. and to top it all off, i'm not blogging long tonight cus i'm SLEEPY!! but i needed to check in cus the photos are piling up. i have been making paperdolls for one of my groups, the theme is wings and i've been winging it like mad.:) also my atc's are looking pretty good, although i'm not posting those tonight, maybe later. what else, oh the fairy shoes will be shipped out tomorrow so i have to show off the pretty pretty packages and the goodies. if i don't do it now, i'll do it tomorrow or the next day. i've really got to stay on top of this blogging cus trying to deal with all the photos is not cute. okay, i'll name them later.

no pics today, i'm busy working on my paperdolls and atc's for a few swaps. i'm very tired but i have so much to do i can't rest. i have to mail off the fairy shoes on friday so i have to come up with 3 packages and goodies to send. i figured since the fairy shoes are felt, the goodies should be as well. felt is fairly quick and easy so i should be able to come up with something cute. anyway i want it done early cus i don't want to be behind the 8 ball like i was last friday. also now that i know i have to send 3 packages each time perhaps i will only join every other trade. that will keep me from going crazy. hopefully tomorrow i will have pics to post. i'm almost finished with my dolls so i will post them when they are done. okay i've got to go figure out what i'm going to do with this felt.

whoa!

it is embarassing that i have not posted any pics or blogged in a while but to my credit, i have been VERY busy. I have tons of pics and lots to share but little time to do it. the good news is i will have PLENTY of time in the next month and a half to blog and blahg and blaaaahhhggg. The bad news is Gypsy and I will be confined to the blue room for that amount of time. i am not looking forward to the confinement but i will catch up on a few things whilst i'm going stir crazy with my dog. Anywho, the only trades i've been involved in so far are with my fiber arts group. I didn't know i would be trading with three people and only prepared one package. Now on the day i'm supposed to be mailing my packages off, i am trying to now divide the one into three. Well now i know i will do better next time. anyway for the one package i came up with Gleeful Glenda and the mood aprons. I will of course post the pics and story here, no doubt during my confinement. I am also preparing bird atcs for my atc group. I thought they were due today but they aren't due til the 20th which is great considering the fiber arts faux pas. I also have to come up with a way to cut the cards out straight, most of them are coming out wonky. i don't want to get booted out of the group for having wonky cards. Okay i will post some pics now. i am not organized so i don't know what they are except that they are stuff i have been working on since i posted last. as it turns out this is an apron for my youngest, i was going to sell it but decided to give it to her. some charms i made for her charm bracelet, the fairy shoes i made for a trade, the paper towel jewelry i am trading now and gleeful glenda, the paper doll that i wrote the little story for. she is on her way to the uk, yeah i hope she loves it there, i wish i were going.
