twilight

I have become a huge stephenie meyer fan. I read twilight, new moon and eclipse, really fast. the movie comes out this friday and i can hardly wait. Vampires and werewolves combined with teen angst, how could I possibly resist. and now that i am on the subject why are so many of the new fall shows being cancelled? Okay Valentine needed a little work but Easy Money is a really good show! Why is it being axed? I love Christian Slater and it was really good to see him again, but My Own worst enemy was a little confusing. And The Ex list was pretty good! And OMG I was just getting into Lipstick Jungle then WHAM!! GONE!! No more Men in trees, Six degrees was over before it began and poor Cashmere Mafia... Well so far that leaves The Mentalist, which is surprisingly good and Eleventh hour which is slooowly growing on me. Fringe is absolutely delicious and i love Life!! So most of the shows that made the cut are cerebral or scientific dramas. There aren't any comedy's out there that I like so... Oh here are those ATC's I made this week, a winter kiss and blue angel. Curl up on the couch with a nice hot cuppa and watch something good on the telly. Love Ya! La

the odd duck

Well I'm finally done with all the swaps and trades I got myself into earlier. I am relieved that I did it but I am disappointed as well. It is as I figured, I am just not a joiner. Ah well, it was all fun while it lasted but it is over now. I may lurk on some of the groups but I am definitely letting some of them go. I will always appreciate the possitive things i learned from them but i don't know that it was worth all that drama. I did go to Orlando and will share those pics occasionally here and there. I also have pics of Flora, the flower child I made for Bonnie and "Daisy" the doll that Bonnie made for me. I forgot to take a pic of Sam Hain before he left and wouldn't you know Donnelly my trade partner kept my doll and didn't send me anything. This is the only time that has happened to me so although I am disappointed I just chalk it up to a lesson learned. I have only made a couple atc's I have been busy being bored tired sick or sore. better now though. love yourselves and each other. La

drama drama drama

My daughter is finally home from far far away and she is very differant. I miss my best friend, I hope she emerges from the total stranger that is here now. We were both very disappointed to find we did not just fall back into our routine. It is a huge shock to both of us. And in the meantime I am working on 7 projects at once. WHAT WAS I THINKING!! People seem to be arguing in all my groups and people keep asking me what my name is short for. I know there is alot going on in the world but I joined the groups to meet new and interesting people and share information our work and our experiences. well it is all blowing up and i am definitely going to leave a few groups soon. I have a few obligations to fill and I am going to keep the fun ones and ditch the dramaramas. no time in my life for OPP. Okay I have no idea what order the pics are going to come in so I'll explain in the last blog which i guess will be the first one you read. I don't know. Uh Okay these pics are of the "autumn fairy" paperdoll i made for a swap and the leaves i made that didn't get done in time for a page swap, note i used a few for the fairies wings. and Gypsy doing what Gypsy does when she wants me to stop working and play. perfectly numb

i've been in some weird daze for weeks. i am working but nothing is completed, everything is works in progress. i'm not behind in my deadlines but i will be soon. i've got two classes coming up this month and several swaps and a challenge coming up next month. so alot is happening and i am numb. can't explain it, it just is. hope ur living ur day with feeling cus i can't feel a thing. drama, drama, drama

i often feel that if i remain perfectly still the drama will just pass me by. if only that were true.

the past few weeks i have been drowning in drama. there was no hiding from it or escaping it. it just was, and i just was immersed in deep doo from sun up to sun down. drama was relentless. it's not completely over but it has eased a bit. so here are pics of things i've been working on. and the penguin atc swap came in. i am just going to post the pics, i am too worn out to talk much about what or why, it just is what it is. Much much love, if u see drama coming, please get out of the way. there's no need for both of us to be caught in it.

soul journaling

I ran across this while i was blog surfing and sarahwhitmire.blogspot is doing a day by day post of her soul journal. It is pretty cool and I would love to do this but i have a terrible time with the day to day thing. so once in a while i will post what i have done so far and leave it at that. I also will not be following rules or guidelines to the letter so i get what i get. can't be helped. here are pics of what i've done so far. I used an old calendar.

boredom has set in

like rigor mortis, Gypsy and i can hardly stand it. i tried to watch my netflix movie, now showing in the blue room - Mad Money with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and katie holmes. Diane Keaton is one of my favorite neurotic actors but i have to be really calm to watch her most days and today was not that day. i was grinding my teeth and flinching, worrying about what was going to happen to them if they got caught. i fast forwarded to the end. i never do that, that was my clue. so i'll watch it later.

i pulled out the paints instead. they aren't dry but here they are. i squirted paint directly on the canvases, and tried to have fun. difficult to do when ur body is determined to have an anxiety attack. but i managed.

My daughter woke me up early this morning to tell me Bernie Mac was dead of pneumonia at the age of 50. It was as if she said my Uncle Bernie had passed away. I really wasn't a fan of Bernie Mac. I loved his stand-up routine, better than his show or his movies but i thought of him as family. I have no idea why. perhaps he does remind me of an uncle who knows. Good-by Bernie Mac, we miss u.

babs, emule, mushroom

my SIL has decided that taking babooshka out of his cage everyday and holding him will make him less evil. silly little man. anyway theres a pic of babs and one of emule the big lug and of course a mushroom in the front yard. again. my daughter ( who is far far away) hates when the mushrooms arrive, but i love them and am filled with glee at the sight of them. all the more cus it irritates the hell out of my daughter. so every year they arrive and every year i take a pic. don't look at the grass though, sil has not cut it yet. and my baby girls birthday hat that i sent to her. of course she was too cute to wear it but i got a kick out of making it for her. sometimes its fun to annoy the children. *:)

And my wings atc paperdoll has finally arrived from Canada along with a little paper doll the artist says was inspired by me. isn't it nice to know u have inspired someone u never met. *:D

better now

no sooner than i posted my feelings and misgivings about the series of unfortunate events happening to me, aha, a window opened. i love the universe, it rules, totally. so things are not only better they are awesome. somedays it is good to be a spiritual being having a human experience. so, i've got books to read, blogs to share and of course pics. where to start, well the books will be listed in what i'm reading now. all of them are good reads so far, except i feel button button could have had more innovative ideas instead of just alot of sewing buttons on store bought things. i love the button flowers so of course i will be making some.

okay art-junkies.blogspot.com what can i say, i love them, by linking to them i then found arttradermag.com OMG this is delicious AND nutricious, but i simply must mention trishbee.uk.co who started it all YAY. it is true one thing leads to another, and all these people led me right out of my miserability (YEA I KNOW) and back on track. thank you wonderful artists for being real and OPEN.

okay the pics are the last of the amulet trade, pretty green and lovely aborigine hottie (yum). blue bird goddess and oxford owl flew away and went to live with Mickey jo. and i made paperdolls from painted paper towel scraps. i was cutting out leaves for the green collage i'm working on and some of the scraps looked like dresses to me so. results.
