A felt fable, zine for swap

I think I posted about Suzanne Redmonds zine swap a while back.  Well i got my zine shipped off on time so here are some pics from my zine.  It’s my third one and it’s a FATTY!  I got a little carried away on the felt stuff as you will see but it couldn’t be helped, I was having a lot of fun with it.  Till I started putting it together and realized how fat it was. 

Any who, there was major drama the weekend I had to mail them off and I had a mild panic attack for a while there because you know up til then I had been soooo organized and ahead of schedule.  Yeah the drama put me back a bit and I ended up pulling an all-nighter but I gotherdone!  and that’s the important thing isn’t it?  so here are the pics

felt bracelets,  they’re flat because I didn’t put clasps on them and you know it’s a zine, uh well come to think of it I did loop them to attach them to a page so, there went that.

Okay, their more cuff bracelets anyway but I like them.  I had to keep these fairly simple because of the weight but the ones I make for myself have a lot of blingies on them. but each recipient is encouraged to embellish to their heart’s content.  I hope they do!

the amulet bags were chunky because of the flowers, I have to do a floral book now, because I’m totally addicted to making flowers now.

I really like how this flower came out all smooshed, that one in the corner is ginormous but I had to use it cus I made it and all.

these are the bottle cap rings, I have fat fingers but I tried to make the rings one size fits most.  yeaahh, don’t know if that worked as planned, but I really like how these came out.  Too hot to wear felt stuff now but once it’s cooler, I’m gonna be rockin the felt jewelry.  hehehe

and there are those fatty boombalatty zines all packed and ready to go.  There is much more stuff inside them, but I’m going to sell a few in my Etsy shop soooooo, I won’t spoil the surprise.  anyway, thats’ that project in the bag, uh, box. On to the next one!

I heart zines swap 2010

Yeah I know, I’m behind by almost a year.  What can I say, I moved and um yeah, yada yada yada, excuses excuses later, here I am April 2011 and still have not shared my swapped zines.  And to make matters worse the pics of the Zines I made last year are in my old dead vaio ( God rest its digital soul)  soooo, all I have to share are pics of the awesome Zines I received. 

Okay so first I’ll say each year the swap is hosted by Alma Stoller and the site is here.  You make ten zines you get 10 yummy zines back.  I hate to say it but with everything going on last year, I think that was my only swap, oh wait I swapped out some charms in Belinda Spiwak's Charm swap about the time My Mom died.  I remember I made some of those charms in the Nursing home and I made WAY too many.  But other than that yeah, I only made the zines.  So here are the pics and the artists.

  It is so fat and full of goodies, info and inspiration! I don’t have a link for  her or I would provide it. This zine is amazing!

I don’t think I’ll share all 10 zines or this post is going to be really long, however I will share a couple more because I have been remiss in sharing info.  My apologies.

And so it begins

Uh yeah so I'm participating in our family's version of Biggest Loser 2011 this year. Weighed in today at 192, haven't been that big in years. See what stress does to a body if you let it? This weeks challenge is 50 lunges, sit-ups, push-ups and rope skips. We weigh in again in 2 weeks with a 5lb loss as our goal. I made it to 50 sit-ups, 25 push-ups, 50 rope skips and 25 lunges each side. Not bad for a first day. I also have to finish my sketchbook for the sketchbook project and mailed off before the 15th. I started working on my zebra for Milliandes first Journal prompt of the month. AND I need to make a steampunk outfit before Saturdays Steampunk themed tea. yup that's my week in a nutshell, how're things going with you?
